Herbie's attention to detail comes from his mother, who he says "is obsessive compulsive"! When Herbie lived with his parents, many chores would have to be redone if he hadn't performed them correctly. Once he realized that guests would compliment the cleanliness of the house, he began to take pride in his cleaning skills and actually enjoy it. Herbie's Auto Detail and Design ( HADD ) was formed in 1999. On hiatus from the film industry as an actor, Herbie Baez Jr., son of ASE Certified Technician Herb Baez Sr., began washing cars at the age of 14 in the city of Canyon Country, CA.

As Herbie's business grew, customers began to ask him if he knew how to "detail" a car. Since then Herbie has become a well respected auto detail and design specialist in the automotive business.
